Boro Stitched Hearts Pattern

All photographs are provided by the manufacturer to aid in purchasing. Due to variations in monitor and computer settings, colors may appear slightly different in person.

3 Boro or slow stitching hearts not just for Valentines day but hearts all year long. Sizes: small-5"x5.5", medium- 5.5"x6.5" & large- 6"x7". These hearts are so much fun to stitch, no right or wrong stitching. They can be made flat, stuffed for a bowl filler or made into a pincushion. The pattern has 3 sizes to choose from with directions on how to do the Boro technique. The Boro technique is layering scraps of fabric to make a new fabric with stitching on top to hold it together. This is similar to slow stitching or Sashiko stitches. Easy to follow directions with diagrams for each step. There is a color page with a closeup of what your stitches can look like. These make great bowl fillers and a new technique to learn. You can use Sashiko, DMC, or Valdani threads for your stitching. Woven fabrics and small print cotton fabrics work best.
