Kangaroo - Kanga and Joey

The Kangaroo can hop right into any sewing room and fit perfectly.

The Kangaroo has a three-position airlift that holds most sewing machines comfortably and moves effortlessly up and down and easily adjusts for various heights of machines for flatbed or free-arm sewing or storage.

An optional machine specific custom insert can be ordered for many sewing machine models. This optional custom insert will provide a flush surface when your machine is in the flatbed position.

Our Joey is a cute storage sidekick that comes with the Kangaroo unit. (It can also be purchased separately to add to any one of our Kangaroo units.)

The wide room in front of the lift allows the sewer to sit comfortably in the correct center needle sewing position. Cabinet purchase includes free chair shown in Kangaroo Pictures Gallery. The false front removes so you can use the knee lifter that can with your sewing machine or snap in place to trim the cabinet front.

Our Kangaroo is a perfect studio piece meant for customers who do not want or need to store their sewing machine. Unlike our other cabinets that feature doors or leaves that close, the Kangaroo unit does not feature those and leaves your sewing machine exposed in all 3 positions on the lifter platform.

The Kangaroo comes with a quilt leaf on the back of the cabinet that folds up or down and will help to expand your work area, preventing large quilts or large pieces of fabric from falling on the floor behind the cabinet.

A large pull out drawer to hold essential notions with fabric support cover round out the features of this hopping cabinet.

Joey

The Joey storage unit adds three drawers of storage space yet is small enough to store in the Kangaroo’s pouch and comes with your purchase. Need more storage?  Additional Joey units can be ordered on our Joey product page.

Our Joey is a cute storage sidekick that can be added to any one of our Kangaroo cabinets, but comes with the Kangaroo unit. Joey features three drawers of storage space yet is small enough to store in the Kangaroo’s pouch or placed next to any unit.  A must have for all crafters with limited room and cluttered sewing rooms.

The Joey is offered in Teak and Ash White melamine to complement any décor or match any existing cabinet.  Adopt one of our Joeys today!

Assembly of both the Kangaroo and Joey is a snap!
The cabinet ships in 5 boxes and is assembled using a hammer/mallet, a screwdriver, an adjustable wrench.

  Kangaroo Cabinet Open Dimensions: 55" wide x 40-1/2" deep x 29-1/2" tall (quilt leaf out)
• The opening and platform of the cabinet will accommodate sewing machines that are no larger than:

  • 12-1/4" deep (front to back)*

*Please measure your machine and include knobs, plugs, etc. that extend beyond the body of machine.

The machine fits the platform of the cabinet in flatbed position (a custom insert is available) but you will have to move the sewing machine from right to left to lower into the storage position because of the extension of the front support leg of the machine. Also the knee lifter lever cannot be used with a sewing cabinet due to the length of the lever and how machine sits on the platform in flatbed position.
