Reverse Applique - "Paddler's Petroglyphs"

Petroglyphs, or kii pohaku, are carvings etched into stone centuries ago by Native Hawaiians.  Although their true meaning is unknown, it is generally thought these carvings are records of births and other events in the lives of the indigenous people.  Reverse applique is a fabric manipulation method where the top layer is cut away to reveal the layer beneath.  We will be using a hand-applique technique in this class.  You will be working on 1 block in the class, but you will get instruction to finish the project when you get home.  Confident Beginner with hand sewing skills.

Pattern purchase is required through TQS.
