Tropical Camp Shirt

In this two-part workshop, you’ll learn how to sew a classic camp-style shirt with a laid-back silhouette, button front, and short sleeves—perfect for warmer months or layering year-round. This is a fantastic entry point into garment sewing for anyone looking to build their skills beyond basics.

This is a unisex shirt, so you'll learn helpful hints on modifying the pattern depending any body shape. Whether you make a “masculine” or “feminine” version of the pattern, you'll learn:

• Pattern sizing and cutting tips
• Shirt construction, including setting sleeves and creating a camp collar
• Topstitching techniques for a polished look
• Making buttonholes and sewing buttons

Prior to class, you'll be invited to a virtual prep session with instructor Derek Reynolds to discuss your specific requirements and answer any questions you may have.

You may not finish in class, but you will get the instruction to finish at home.
